Overview

Growing is a fundamental part of human nature, and in order to grow - we need a fuel; a driving force to keep us striving, and in many cases - our dreams are our fuels.
We all remember our first childhood dreams, regardless of how absurd and unrealistic they might be, perhaps because those dreams have morphed to become a part of our identity, and yet another natural instinct is to hold onto those dreams and go the extra mile to achieve them, even if the consequences are grave.
Ziad El Sharkawy, a passionate young Egyptian student, is here to share his baffling opposing view of getting attached to childhood dreams through a portrayal of his emotional story of lost dreams and profound hopes; proving, in the most beautiful of ways, that as beneficial as fuel is at times, the longer it burns for - the more toxic its fumes become This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
